A Classic Reimagined

Elaine Lindy, President and Founder of Stories to Grow By, first adapted this classic tale in 1998. Cinderella’s story has countless variations worldwide, often featuring a young person whose fortunes change dramatically through the attention of a nobleman. Common elements include a magical ball gown, a curfew when the magic fades, and a nobleman on a quest to discover her identity.

Many versions involve a wicked female relative and magical assistance, whether from enchanted birds or a fairy godmother. This adaptation remains true to these traditional themes while offering a fresh perspective for a new generation.
